While it may not explain all of the difficulty you're having, there is one thing I noticed that explains at least part of it: Someone help me either figure out what is happening or offer a solution for migrating to Keychain. At one point I had the Mac application but when these problems started, I was told by support I can delete the app and it was to be all browser based. I am on a Mac using the Chrome browser extension. Over a year and a half of passwords and accounts I will have to figure out how to transfer to another platform. So I have another account that I have to reset the password immediately because the password manager I have is so useless, it can’t handle it.
Ok supports last email said every generated password is saved, I follow the instructions and OF COURSE there is no password saved under the website URL like they said. Type username, go to paste password, NOTHING. Go to 1Password and create a fresh login. Ok, done, now click save to 1password, nothing happened.Ĭlicked on the drop down box and selected Logins, then save to 1Password. And this worked even though by the time I was done doing all that, I was super annoyed.Īnd today?!?! Even though I knew it would not work, I patiently tried EVERYTHING as I went through creating a new account.įilled out username, clicked on the 1password logo in the username field, tried to click save to 1Password, nothing happened.Ĭlicked on the 1password logo in the password field and was offered a generated password. I have tried to copy to plaintext each password as it is generated, then create a new login from SCRATCH in 1Password, manually copying the login webpage, typing in my username and then copying the password from my Notes to the app and then saving it. I am so sick of losing the log in credentials IMMEDIATELY after creating a new account. I have talked to support that assured me EACH time a password is generated, it is saved and can be searched in Passwords as being associated with the website, EVEN IF no login was created.
NEVER prompts me to save a login, NEVER saves a generated password (even in clipboard anymore). Always prompted me to save new logins, offered a generated password at the right time etc.īut for the last year, since it was pushed to a browser extension, it has been the most frustrating thing imaginable. I’m done with this sub par excuse for a password manager.
